Mine Co. adventures update: Dragons and Nether

I'm making some up dates to the dragon and the nether.

 
I wanted the dragon to be more detailed.

  
Lava  slimes are now made of bone and have a more detailed texture

 The nether with the new textures. Yes It's a little more in line with vanilla minecraft but 
It feels more hellish now.

New Glow stone. I wanted something a bit like bone or marble that wouldn't look as weird in the normal world. Also a closer look at the new nether brick.

Mine CO. Updates

Mine Co. hasn't updated in quite some time mostly due to the fact that Minecraft hasn't had a solid update ether. Just a heads up This next version of Mine Co. is shaping up to be the best yet and I've actually made so many tweaks and changes I can't even keep track of them all. Anyhow here's the updated preview.

I wanted this piece to resemble some of the concept art that Disney was producing in the 60's for the haunted mansion and pirates(mostly by Marc Davis and Claude Coats). I'm pretty happy with how I turned out.This is also the first time I've ever filmed myself creating one piece of art till it's done.

Mine CO. Adventures version 1.4

Changes for 1.4
· Added Vines, stone brick,mushroom, Iron bars, glass panes melons etc.
· Added WIP adventure map alt terrain set with ( Alt nether textures"coal,mud and Lit glass" and some wool colors replaced with Cracked cobble/stone brick and a wooden crate)
· Changed the way Tinted textures are colored on my end to get more depth in grass, vines etc.
· Added new Gui's, Items and mobs.
· tweaked water transparency and lava animations (Don't panic you may not even notice)

Mine Co. pack Minecraft Texture pack released!

 Mine Co. pack Minecraft Texture pack is finally out!

The Mine Co. pack Is a native resolution (16x16) texture set with custom water and lava, GUI, armor, paintings, mobs and has new graphics for most everything else you see while playing Minecraft. Though while it changes almost everything it still try's to keep the feel of the original game without compromising detail or quality.

It's loosely themed on a story Involving Two waring Companies Mine Co. and The dubious Creeper Corp.  Mine Co.of course builds to mine and mines to build and Creeper Corp. manufactures creepers and they keep eyeballing your stuffssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...

Facebook games

I’ve had it with Facebook games. If your playing Frontier Town, Farm Ville, Zombie Lane, Cafe World, City Ville etc.  Don’t you realize your playing the same thing over and over again I did and quickly I might add.  You nor I were/are not investing our time in a type of game that fosters innovation and growth of gaming as a medium. Instead your telling developers it’s OK to release a shell of a game and that you like micro transactions. Your saying I enjoy mechanics that limit the quality and time I get with My game and I’m willing to pay them with My money for content that should be in the game to begin with! This way of thinking is spreading dangerously though out the games industry and it‘s not a good thing.
But you tell me this game is FREE and I don’t spend money on micro transactions. All I can say Is this How much of your time has gone into playing this game and what have you really gotten back for the time you have lost? If I had to guess I say the only thing you’ve truly gotten back or learned from you Facebook game is this: Get all your friends to play, always come back, trade with your buddy to keep them in the game, send in game status updates to remind your friends of the game and most importantly left click never EVER right click and then repeat.
If you truly enjoy this mindless recreation I can let it go but for the love of god Go! Please go and spend five or twenty bucks on an Indy game or a AAA Title I promise you’ll get more enjoyment and experiences out of it.

Minecraft Texture Pack In The Works

I have a Minecraft Texture pack in the works that is nearing completion.
Here are a few screen captures.
 In the Nether I got rid of the pink flesh colors and added some green to combat the red and orange overload.

My main goal was to try and keep the general feel of the original but to do something that looked better and was kinder on the eyes.The originals had a lot of unnecessary noise added to them to make up for lack of detail and were often just bland or poorly made.

The pack will include texture and GUI changes for the entire game (excluding water and lava) and was made at the games native resolution to keep issues to a minimum.
Look for it within the next few weeks!

New game project

Here are a few screen shots from one of two currently active game projects I'm working on. For now we'll call it D.U.H.C. and yes It's a platform game.


Some of what you see above will most likely change as some of the sprites are temporary.
If your wondering what exactly the theme of the game will be I'll give you a hint : I like ghostbusters and steam punk.
